Mark Alan Wortman is a native of Missouri, born and raised in the Ozarks. Mark graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield and went on to earn an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the School of Business Administration at Missouri State University in Springfield, and his Juris Doctor decree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law.

Immediately after graduating from law school, Mark worked as in house counsel for a large, international professional services consulting firm serving corporate clients throughout the world on a multitude of tax and legal issues. With a desire to work more directly with real clients on personal legal issues, Mark entered private practice and subsequently opened the law firm of Mark A. Wortman, LC in Kansas City Missouri, practicing in the areas of divorce family law, bankruptcy, estate planning, civil litigation, and creditor representation.
